Larry BISHOP Obituary
March 9, 1953 - October 11, 2015
Larry Bishop, beloved and devoted husband, father and papa of Calgary, passed away on October 11, 2015 at the age of 62 years with his entire family by his side at the family home. Larry is survived by his loving wife Shelly, daughters: Terri Bishop and Jamie (Andrew) Eddy; grandchildren: Ethan Bishop, Chloe and Cadence Eddy; his loyal dogs; Bear and Scooter and numerous extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Pearl and sister, Pat. Larry will be remembered as a guy that just loved life, whether he was working or playing he could always see the best in everything. He was very active in the Calgary Lacrosse Community, first as a player with the Calgary Shamrocks, then as a coach and for the past 40 years a referee with the ALRA. The family would like to thank Dr. Sinha, Dr. Monzon and the exceptional staff of the Community Paramedic Program in Calgary. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home, 1605 100 Street SE, Calgary, AB. I just found out about Larry's passing.
My condolences to you, the girls and all of your family. Brenda and I always enjoyed having Larry, you and the girls close to us in Midnapore and of course working with Larry over those many years.
We had some really good times together and he will be missed.
PS - Just to let you know Brenda and I now live in the Phoenix area for the last 6 months.

To Shelly, the big guy will be missed from the oil industry, I called on Larry when he worked for Westlund and moved to Regina then back to Calgary. Larry always had a smile on his face and loved to laugh

Larry's passing leaves a huge void in our lives. He was a kind and wonderful man and I enjoyed working with him very much ! He cared about people and was so very proud of his family. He will be missed. Shelly I hope the great memories of your life together sustain you through this difficult time.

Shelly and family, so sorry to hear of the loss of a great man of integrity, a well respected memeber of the lacrosse community. I knew when Larry made a call on me and said Kevy 2 minutes I best just go to the box, as he usually let the first 2-3 hacks and slashes go. Thats was Larry going to miss him but will always remember him.

Both Lisa and myself am so deeply sorry for your loss, Larry was truly a very special person to us and I will never forget the many times we shared together on Lacrosse nights.
During Larry's treatment time I would often think about him and say a pray and ask God to Bless him and heal him. But I guess faith ws not enough to beat Larry's challenges. I know we all take life sometimes for granted and when something like this happens it makes us appreciate family, friends and life more. Larry's loss will deeply effect a lot of people, he blessed the Lacrosse Community immensely.
