Larry Paul Blanchard

You will be greatly missed and always remembered in my heart as a man among men in a world where you stood out as a role model in many many ways. A gentle giant with a heart of gold.

Mr. Larry Blanchard you were one of a kind and will be greatly missed. I don't quite remember the year I met you, tho it was many years ago when my then husband worked with you at a job site in Decatur Alabama. You made quite an impression on him and myself, you seemed a giant at 1st but as I grew to know the man inside, you truly were a giant, a gentle giant of whom I grew to cherish with the utmost respect. You, my friend were a man among men whom I never saw falter, a kind, caring being who cherished his wife and family with an unpresidented love. You were a great cook, in fact you were the only person ever to convince me to eat gumbo, New Orleans style, and it was delicious. You were one of a kind, like a giant teddy bear and will always be remembered as a giant among men, one to be respected in a world where you stood out as a man among men, a leader in many ways, not only on the job but in every day life as well. The world lost a wonderful human being.

Oh My Mr. Larry in the short time of me knowing you I've seen how good of a man you were. You were my safety man at my job. You taught me alot. I will miss seeing you at the safety meetings. Take your rest. My condolences to your wife and family.

You will be miss my friend. My condolences to your wife Sandra and all of your family. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Larry was our chief when I joined the L.V.F.D. It was in 2000. Rest in peace brother fireman.
