I was saddened to learn of Larry's passing. Larry was a long-time member of the South Holland Economic Development Commission. I served with Larry on the Commission originally as a resident beginning in 2006, and later as the staff advisor to the Commission beginning in 2009. Larry didn't say much in the meetings, but he was always listening intently - and his questions and/or feedback were always very appropriate for - and helpful to - the subject matter. He and I would also talk a lot about development and ideas for the community outside of the meetings. In fact, his relationship with the Seida family was instrumental in the Village's efforts to influence them purchase the former South Holland Dodge property that they lease to Service King. Larry is the reason I met and worked with the family in this endeavor beginning in 2009. I last saw and spoke with Larry about a month ago at the post office...who would have known that would be the last time I saw him? To all of his family - I join you in celebrating his life, and I pray for your continued strength. God bless you Larry...where human beings are concerned, they don't come any better!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Take your wings and rest now!
You and Deb was always there with encouraging words for my different challenging situations. And you guys genuinely cared about my wellbeing and safety. Deb and Larry had a way of always making me feel present, even when I was absent. And for that I am forever grateful. Larry you will be truly missed.

Was shocked to hear the news of Larry’s passing. Of all the department managers, Larry was a rock. He treated his people well and always fairly. He ran his department so smooth I was never concerned and the best manager the dealership ever had. I have fond memories of time we spent together at company functions and the annual Homewood car show where we judged together, he knew everyone and everyone knew him. To Deb and his family my deepest sympathy he will be missed.

YOUR ABSENCE
Your absence took the joy out of these days,
Your game has left
A sad family and friends
an empty chair every Wednesdays
Christmas lights,
They can't light up the home
The ornaments do not cover,
The pain of not having you
Nothing feels the same
How can we cheer us up?
That soon it will be Christmas
The only special gift
What could they give us?
It would be to be able to hug you
just for a moment, as you was doing every Wednesday
But that can't be
Not even if we ask Santa Claus,
nor the wise men,
They would give us that gift,
Nor making merits all year,
Although the family strives to cook,
Dinner will feel bland
For the pain of your departure,
It's hard for us to assimilate
That you are already in another and better place, win heaven.
We barely believe
How come we are standing
While you only sleep having an eternal dream,
The cold of this winter
It feels more intense
Each section of the skin is frozen.
Every one of our bones aches.
The heart beats much slower
How waiting for time to stop,
In order not to have to do
Reunion the new year,
Where you are no longer physically,
But we always keep you in mind
And in our hearts, you live forever.thank you for all your support and love .

I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for you during this time.
I remember how Uncle Larry helped Jessica and I when our Honda Accord was having engine troubles. He was able to help get the problem fixed at the Honda dealership which was a huge blessing to us. We are still driving that car many years later!

I'm shocked and saddened to learn of Larrys passing. I worked with Larry at Shaver Chevy many years ago. He was the best that they come. What a team Player. He always went above and beyond to help us all and get the job done. Couldn't ask for a better coworker.
We just recently lost Tom Vallow, the Service Manager at Shaver and now we've lost the best Parts manager.
Gone way too soon.
My condolences to the family
Thoughts and prayers at this difficult time
Rest in Peace Larry

Larry was a valued team member at Team Honda for almost 20 years. Even in "retirement", he was passing on his wealth of knowledge to our associates. God Bless Larry and his family. So shocked to hear this news.

I'm still in shock. I worked with Larry for over 10 years. He was a great guy, I'll miss his visits to the dealership. He was always smiling and in a great mood. He would help you in any way. He would fix several things that would break in our office, you didn't have to ask him twice. My deepest sympathy to his wife Deb and his family at this most difficult time.
