I met Larry at Susquehanna Valley school. His classroom was next to mine. I loved talking to him. We shared lunch duty together. He was a kind, caring and humble man. A man who led by example.

I reached out to Larry on Jan 6th to wish him happy birthday. No response felt strange so I did a search to find that he transitioned. So glad to have met him and counted him as friend. An old soul...

December 20, 2018

Larry was my football teammate at Cortland. Him the hard running fullback and me the defensive corner back. How I hated trying to tackle Larry in the inter-squad scrimmages. One tough dude!! Later played against Larry's semi-pro TC Jets when I was QB for the Twin City Geminis in Buffalo and was thankful I was on offense as well, and not having to tackle him yet again. Got to see Larry one last time a few years ago in West Palm Beach. Still quiet, humble, kind, super accomplished and as always, one hell of a genuinely nice guy. One can see by all the left messages how he will be remembered. My sincere condolences to all in Larry's family. Larry left us way too soon. Gary Feger Class of 70

Larry and I were 'teammates' with the TC Jets. He was always a tough competitor, an honest man, and a wonderful, life-long friend. Will miss him, Josh, as I'm sure will everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and calling him 'friend'. RIP Buc, #30!!

To Larry's Family and Friends,

Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I was a classmate and acquaintance at Maine-Endwell. Reading about the successes Larry had in his life made me realize how fortunate you all are to have known him on a much more personal level.

May your memories be good and stay in your hearts forever. You now have a new angel watching over.

Mr. B was one of the most kind, compassionate, and passionate people I've ever had the honor of knowing in my lifetime. He taught some very impressionable students some incredible lessons and he touched the hearts and lives of many.

I had him for 7th grade Social Studies. He was a favorite teacher of mine as he was a favorite of many others. Never picked on a student in an offhand way. Always smiling and laughing. Never played favorites. You had to earn everything, whether it was an A in his class or a first-string spot on the football field.

I loved keeping up with his powerlifting exploits through Facebook. I was proud to know this man of incredible fortitude and drive and damn lucky to have been a small part of his immense life.

Whether we realize it or not, his legacy and character proudly lives on through the lives of the people he touched. I know I'm a better person for knowing him. Rest in peace, Mr. B and thank you.
