Sorry to hear of Larry´s passing. He was friends with my late brother in law Victor who also had a band in the 50´s to 60´s when music was great. My favorite was his rendition of "I Believe"

Larry was a wonderful gentleman and singer and at times also took a swing at being funny and he succeeded. I was Blessed to see him in concert probably close to 15 times over the years. Like him, I am a cancer survivor (3x) and we spoke several times about our trials and tribulations in dealing with the disease. Every time he sang the song, "I Believe",
tears would start streaming down my cheeks. How I miss guys like him. God Bless and Rest In Peace.

Larry Chance (RIP) sang at my 80th Birthday. He was a year behind me at Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. NY. It was at this school he formed the "Hi-Hatters" who eventually became the "Earls". I knew Larry having been in the music business, as an outstaning performer coupled with a reputation as a wonderful loving person, which was so well deserved.

I first placed a call to Larry after his recovery from throat cancer. He gracious returned my call. We talked about music and favorite cars. Larry´s dream car had always been a 1949 Mercury. I searched my collection of promo cars, located a 1949 black Mercury and mailed to him. We kept in contact through the years. He once arranged to meet me in Detroit and requested I come back stage to personally meet him. He was a fantastic performer and wonderful man. God bless you my dear friend.

I met Larry when I was married to Jimmy Russo from Lenny Coco and the Chimes during the early 2000's attending all the Doo-Wop shows. I would like to say that Larry was a funny and fun-loving man who had such passion for the music. We had good laughs together. Larry I know that you're singing Doo-Wop in Heaven. From a Bronx gal to a Bronx boy Larry may you rest in Peace until we meet again.

I had the pleasure if working with Larry and the Earls many years ago at the Granite Resort in Kerhonksen, NY. I got to know him pretty well and went to many of his shows because I enjoyed his music and his sincerity. I went to see Don Imus perform his last live concert at the Westchester Premiere Theater. Larry was there to see his friends last performance. I spent some time with Larry as he always remembers folks he worked with. Not many people know this but Larry played the character Geraldo Santana Banana on the Imus in the morning show for many years. You will be missed.

I can´t believe that I will never see you again, that you will never call me again, that I can never call you again. My heart is not just broken, it´s in pieces. I lost my best friend, my rock, you meant the world to me. What I wouldn´t give to hear your voice again, another joke, another hug, to hear your laugh, to hear you sing to me. I keep replaying a voicemail you left me where you are singing Call Me, Don´t Be Afraid to Just Call Me", but I can´t. You took a part of me with you. You ate forever in my heart. Love you much Chance. Until we meet again.....
