It's been years since I was supt of the NA School District. I did not know that my friend Larry had passed. He was a sports fan, as was I, and we discussed NA sports over a few drinks every so often. Larry was one of my deep and abiding memories of my time in NA.

I love you Pappy!

Me and Pappy have had so many memories. When I moved him lawn sitting on his lap and when we played chrochet. When I got a signature and a picture with Pittsburgh's mascot when we went to a game. And now, when I am 11, to just when I sat next to him and watch Little League and the news with him.
Pappy is such a wonderful guy. He was going through tough times, having to wake up at 5 to go to dialisis. He has always smiled no matter what situation. His smile can light up a room, and make me smile. He was so funny as well as bright. I love learning with him and even about him. He is so interesting and sweet.
I will really miss Pappy. I will miss when we had a barbecue in the back. I will miss his smile and his kind heart. I will miss sitting on his lap and I will miss watching Little League without him. I will miss Pappy a whole lot, but he is, and will be always in my heart. Forever.

Living 1500 miles from each other, it's the memories of time shared that make us smile when remembering Larry. He and Diane loved to travel and we got to enjoy several wonderful vacations with them. Seeing the dolphins up close on the zodiac boat tour in Kauai made his day! Then Larry would ask, Why are we on this dirt road? Are we looking for another' waterfall? Exploring the San Juan Islands or the Washington/Oregon coasts provided quality time together. Niagara Falls was another favorite. That 5:30 am wake-up call from Larry in Niagara so we could get an early start on our day was his way of saying there's a lot more to see. The family gatherings at 2414 when the girls were young and the SC family times with their young grandchildren created many Happy Times together with our brother-in-law!

Sorry to hear of Dr. Croyle's passing. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. And, that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.

I have so many happy memories of my father, a lifetime collected that will be held very close to my heart. While we did many amazing things together like a trip to the Super Bowl, hanging in NYC and many family trips to SC, it's the simple memories of spending time with my father that I will cherish. When I think of my dad I will remember the lazy summer afternoons throwing a softball, him teaching me how to pitch, dunks in the pool, him asking me if I need a reminder, going to Pirates games and delighting in all the players' signatures I got, watching him play with my kids and sunrise walks on the beach.

My dad came from very humble beginnings and achieved great things. Through his example, he taught me to never give up, always do your best and because of him I have always believed that I could do anything. He was an amazing man who touched many lives in the community and within our family. I am so blessed and proud to have 76 beautiful years calling you my Dad.
Love - Megan

Larry was a great man who accomplished much in his life. Over the 22 years I knew him, I found him to be a wonderful father-in-law, caring grandfather to my kids, and supportive Dad to his daughters. Our family will cherish many great memories we made with Larry and I hope that someday I can be the kind of father, grandfather, and man that he was.

What an impactful life Larry Croyle led, raising a wonderful family and making his community a better place for others. From my long friendship with Rachel, I know he must have been a great father. My heart goes out to you all at this time - the depth of the loss is a tribute to how much joy he brought to your lives and how much he was loved.

So sorry to hear the news. I have know Rachel and her family for over 30 years (Rachel and I went to high school together and she was just here in California a week and a half ago and we all went to dinner). She told me a couple days after she was here that Larry had passed. He was a great man and someone we all loved growing up. My wife, my daughter and myself were fortunate enough to see him and Diane when we were in PGH a few years back and got a great picture with us all. He invited us up to a game at my high school that he was reffing. I have nothing but fond memories of him as a kid and now as an adult. Our love, prayers, and condolences to the Croyle family.
