Larry W. Eck, 68, of Whitehall, died Friday, November 4, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Edna (Ruch) Eck. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert O. S. and Hilda (Miller) Eck. Larry was a Vietnam veteran of the Air Force where he served for four years and retired from the Navy in 1976 after serving for 16 years. In 1999 Larry retired from Tarkett where he worked as a security guard for 20 years. He was a member of the Fullerton American Legion, Post 367, the Northampton VFW, post 4714 and he was a life member of the Fullerton Fire Company. Survivors: Wife, Edna; daughter, Kellie and her husband Tom Steele of Coplay; son, Ronald Woroniak and his companion Patricia Olenwine of Northampton; sisters, Linda Jacksitts of Whitehall, Dorothy and her husband Frank Hutch of Whitehall, Nancy Eck of Nazareth; brothers, James of Slatington, Randy of Allentown, Dennis of Allentown; granddaughters, Jessica and Kylie. He was preceded in death by his brother Terry. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9 in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua. There will be a calling period 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 1227 W Liberty St., Allentown, 18102.

Sorry to hear about Larry.

I often stopped at the Guardhouse to say hello or chat awhile.

I also worked with his dad Robert.

Larry and Bob were good guys.

I retired from Tarkett after 40 years.
