Larry Eldridge's legacy will be cherished for many years by many people. He was not only an active chess player, a successful coach, a skilled teacher and an insightful journalist, he was also a true Renaissance man, a lover of music, theater, the arts, and the English language. May he rest in peace.

While our battles over the chessboard were intense, you were always a gentleman and a good friend. I am glad to have known you, and will cherish my memories of our shared times together. My sincere sympathies to your family and friends. Rest in peace forever, Larry.

Dear Joyce and family, Mark and I were so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. We remember the lovely time
we had at Ivan's wedding talking about chess and sports. He was a very engaging conversationalist who knew
alot about many topics. We hope you remember all the wonderful times you had during your long
marriage. Best wishes to your family at this sad time.
