I just heard the news today (May 4th) and just wanted to say that you are in my thoughts and prayers. It has been a long time since I've seen you both but I will always remember Larry as being a good friend and support.

Your Dad taught me at Silver Lake High School. What a wonderful man and teacher. I saw him a few times after I graduated in 1966, and he always had the same smile on his face. You can be very proud of your Dad.

Mark, sorry for the loss of your father.

Melissa, Your father was a good man who had a positive impact on many lives. The loss of a parent is difficult, hope you find comfort in your memories, and peace knowing that coach is still coaching.

Coach Elliott will be missed. There is no greater gift than that of a teacher and no greater subject than that of character. Coach Elliott delivered on both counts throughout his career. I will miss him.

Coach was a wonderful man and I will always be grateful for the opportunities he gave me. I know how proud you are of him and how much he meant to each of you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

The Grant County Rural High School Class of 1953 was small and our bonds were close. Although we have not gathered together often since graduation, every time we do see each other the years just fall away and we are young once again! I think we are all grateful for having grown up in Ulysses, Kansas, and our memories of that time in the early '50's are always warmly shared when we do meet.

Each loss reminds us of our mortality and makes those memories more precious. It was a good time.... We were good friends......

We will miss Larry.

It is sad to hear of the passing of Coach. He was a great man. I really enjoyed the time I had with him. I learned so much about life and how to treat people from him. He is in a better place. You are all in my prayers. He will will be missed by all.

I had not seen Larry since our sophomore year of high school as I moved away but I have many memories of our first two years of school. It is always so sad to lose a former classmate. My condolences to Larry's family.

It' so hard to find words to express my thoughts in the passing of your Dad. He was a great and humble man with many acomplishments in his life but seemed to value his family and frends most. I have many great memories of him when we were growing up together. May your memories remain and give you comfort.

I think Larry Elliot. My 9 year old son got to visit with Larry last year at one of the football games. He was so gracious when they talked about football and sports. He was a wonderful person. Heaven is a great place for Legends.
