Larry Wayne Furry, 62, of Pinos Altos, died on the night of Oct. 22, 2014, in his home.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1951 in Crane, TX to James Thurman Furry and the late Odessa Mae Furry. He married Ginger Louise Cooke in 1976 in Clyde, TX. They lived for many years in Brownwood, TX, where they raised their children. They then relocated to Pinos Altos, NM.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors, and would spend many hours out hiking or fishing.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother Odessa Mae Furry, of Brownwood, TX; and many Aunts and Uncles.

Larry is survived by his wife, Ginger Furry; children Nancy (Ron) Arriaga, of Owosso, MI; Claude (Allison) Furry, of Austin, TX; John (Samantha) Furry, of Silver City, NM; his father James Furry, of Brownwood, TX; his sisters Joy (Roy) Price, of Cloudcroft, NM; Judy (Mike) Trollinger, of Brady, TX; Linda Payne, of Brownwood, TX; and his grandchildren RJ Arriaga, Tyler Arriaga, Logan Furry, Kaya Furry, Charlie Furry, and Emmi Furry.

A Funeral service in his honor will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, with visitation at 11:30 a.m. and the service at 12:30 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Chapel in Silver City, NM, with a burial to follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family. Flowers may be sent to Baca's Funeral Chapel, Silver City, NM prior to the funeral.
