Through the years of working for Larry, he became almost a second dad to me. He would always call me "one of those young kids" or a "spring chicken" and tell great stories about his sons and family. At events, I would always pack some treats for Mary so he could bring home and he would say, "oh yes, the boss would enjoy this". The last time I spoke to Larry, I was able to tell him how much I valued his relationship and blessed to call him a friend. Sending my condolences to Mary, Ben and Kirk during this difficult time. Heaven got a bit brighter on May 11th and I know he's watching over us. Very best, Jackie Nguyen Reed

Larry was my cousin but I never got to grow up near him as I lived in California. The few times I did get to spend time with Larry, he was a fun little boy. He visited my family in later years and we so enjoyed he and Mary and later the boys. I always wished I had known him growing up. My husband and I visited he and Mary many years ago, he took us everywhere! We even got to sit on the stage at the Grand Ole Opera. He was a wonderful person, he will be truly missed. I had come to know Larry from being a customer at Corner Music. Corner always had all the 'cool stuff' most of the other shops did not have. No chain-store atmosphere, personable staff, and the owner himself, Larry, made shopping there a comfortable experience. I liked being there so much, I asked Larry if I could go to work for him, and for many years I enjoyed working in a field I loved. Larry and his family became an extended part of my family. They actually put up with me for longer than they should have, but Larry's kind and compassionate nature could see the good in people and believed in helping folks, which went beyond just myself and extended to anybody in Larry's life. You can say the same about his family, and I know Corner is in good hands. The shoes will be tough to fill, though. There's not a store like Corner Music, because none of them have an owner like Larry. Rest in Peace, Sir, and Godspeed.
