At home anywhere, he was an incredibly generous host in his Michigan home. Whether a weekend away or the beautiful wedding of his daughter, he shared his home with pride and love for the natural surroundings. Larry was naturally funny, incredibly kind and generous. A great man whose smile and friendship will be missed.

When Larry came to Park Ridge to enjoy a day with my twin, Debbie and me, we always had a great time. Often, Buzz, (Barb Weis Cook) would join us.
I remember one time, (we were in high school) while mom and dad were out to dinner, the four of us were in the living room doing squash pyramids. Two down on hands and knees and two stacked on top. As we called "Squash!" to flatten out, we looked up and there were my folks (who had come home early), glaring at us. Oops. We were all in trouble. I think we did not get together for quite a while......
But most of my memories are terrific.

Larry always enjoyed walks in the woods and loved to explain where each path led to and the flowers along the way. Our walks always seemed to end up at the shore line and we would walk for several miles as he pointed out who lived in what house, and would introduce me to them with a big grin.
