Larry Jarman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 4 to Feb. 5, 2023.

Larry Thomas Jarman, 66, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Citizens Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Rebecca Jarman, and they shared 35 years together.

Larry was born on June 1, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, to Lester and Fern Jarman. He grew up and graduated high school in San Diego, California.

He moved to Halfway in 1987 and helped his parents build their log home. He worked at Moalder's Grocery Store and worked at the Tracker Marine boat plant when it opened in 1987. He became a welder and later a lead on the Jon boat line. He worked there until becoming disabled in 1998. In 2009, Larry started driving for the folks in the Amish community. He really enjoyed this work, making a lot of new friends and seeing a lot of new places.

Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Humansville.

Larry really enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as being outside and working on his farm. He will be remembered as someone who was a hard worker, someone who was always thinking of others first, and of course, his sense of humor.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Fern, and his sister Terry Kelsall.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; his sons, Jeffrey and Zachary Jarman; his daughters, Tennille, Amy, and Clarissa Jarman; his grandchildren, Cisco Serrano, Connor Jarman, Olivia and Zayden Jarman, and Sydney Jarman.

Visitation for Larry will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the First Baptist Church in Humansville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the church. Interment will be at the Humansville City Cemetery in Humansville. Memorial donation may be made in Larry's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
