Larry P. Love

My deepest sympathy to the Love family!!! I remember Larry, and must say this came as a shock!!! Larry was always friendly and in good spirits!! Certainly will be missed! God bless!!!

It was with much sadness that I heard from Ray Wilson, a mutual friend and ex-colleague at Atlantic Stairworks and Atlantic International, that Larry Love had passed away. Of the many things I remember about Larry, one of my best memories was his love of gardening. We talked a lot about his summer passtime. I remember him lugging huge jugs of water to his garden site. He always made certain the whiskey barrels outside the stair company were filled with green things. I didn't know that Larry and Barbara had grandchildren but I am certain that he was a terrific and loving grandfather. I am saddened by his passing.

Dinner at Larry's. It was a pleasure catching all those big lobsters for you and the family. You were my boss and good friend for 26 years and we designed and built the best helical stairs in the business. I will miss you dearly.

Larry was a great friend, he could say many things with a very few words and those words were always valued. He was always interested in what was happening in your life. I worked on Larry's house and had the opportunity of meeting Barb, Traci, and Adam and Larry's grandchildren, whom he was most proud of. We spent many a morning over breakfast at Mad Martha's and some lunches together in his kitchen. Since I have moved to the island in '04 Larry and Bob have become my closest friends.
Larry, we at the breakfast club will all miss you, and I am sure that all who have known you will be the worse off for having lost you.

Working with Larry in the early days of the stair company both in N.H. and Newburyport was a great time in my life. We camped and fished on the Cape, icefished in N.H.,enjoyed concerts on the Esplanade,"grooved" to the Doors and Santana, ate many steamed clams, drank many cold beers.I regret we never got together after I moved from Mass. to Minnesota. We did reconnect in the last several years via email and phone calls... I am proud to have known him, and will always enjoy so many memories of times we spent together. My love to all the family.

I will miss Larry's warm presence at our rehearsals and checking to make sure he makes the line into the church at concerts. Larry always had nice things to say and was so passionate about life. His enthusiam was infectious! I will miss him leaning over and showing me the latest on his blackberry in breaks. Tomorrow I will honor you at the celebration of life singing in that voice you always loved. Peace!

Barbara, Tracy, and Adam I will miss Larry so much. He was always making plans. Not just for the afternoon or tomorrow, but for months and years to come. May we all live life that way.

Larry was my closest friend, having breakfeast with him almost every morning and drinks a few nights a week was the highlight of my day. Larry always listen to my woes and joys and gave me sound friendly advise. I will miss his smile and wit and plans of the future trips that would never of happened, but fun planning them. Larry always amazed me with the amount of people he knew and how modest he was. I will miss him greatly.

not understanding life too clearly, a pit in my stomach, a saddened heart, and eyes welled up, I will miss you my dear friend Larry Love, everyday, but I will always have you in my heart, and many memories of you to talk about with a smile on my face, and ? in my heart, because that is what you did for me, everyday! ? and miss you always.

Barbara, Tracy & Adam, I cannot know exactly what you are going thru but having lost parents myself I know the heartache you must be feeling. Let there be joy knowing that Larry is an Angel in Heaven leading a Choir of Angels in song and although his life on earth is at an end, his eternal life in Heaven is just beginning. When you feel a brush on your cheek or a get warm feeling in your heart know it is Larry watching over you and yours.

You only had to meet Larry once to know he was a happy, fun loving guy. His love for his wife and daughter showed in everything he said and did. So sorry I didn't get to know him better.

So sorry to hear about Larry's passing. We have very fond memories of you all. Lots of fun times.

Tracy and Adam, Im so sorry for your loss...I am so glad I had the great peasure of meeting him, he was so funny and always had a smile on his face when I would see him. What a great way to remember someone:)

We continue to use a heart shaped chopping board made many, many years ago at the staircase company. It is a
cherished part of our kitchen. I can still see the group of young people from the spiral staircase company sharing a laugh. And I can still see Larry right in the middle of it all.

Kris and I are so grateful for the 5 years we spent getting to know Larry and his family in the early years of the stair company. Though it's been so many years, thoughts of those special and unique times continue to bring us joyful memories. In those years Larry was a major part of making it feel like we were just a big family working together. When we joined the company we had only recently been married and Barbara and Larry showed what a truly loving marriage should be about. Larry will be missed by so many and we pray for his family. Larry lived a full life and we were blessed to know him.

Larry was always an influence in the lives of Tracy and Adam's friends. We were always welcome, treated as if we were his own and greeted with a smile, even when he didn't know we were crashing on the couch...it was never "what are you doing here?"...it was ALWAYS "what do you want for breakfast?" Their door was always open and there was extra room at the dinner table. His Christmas fudge was heavenly and I remember eating it on Christmas Eve and listening to him sing carols, sitting in the "Love" house surrounded by family and friends. We will miss you.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Look up "great guy" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of Larry Love. A Southern Gentleman who relished the hustle & bustle of a busy life, Larry seemed to always have a smile on his face. He knew himself, accepted himself, and found joy in life. I have always been in awe of the man.
He was one of a kind. I miss him already.

Larry was one of the finest, sweetest, kindest man I have had the pleasure of knowing. He always had a kind word, a smile or a funny story to share. I am blessed to have known him. Our offices here at Merrimac Mills will just not be the same without him. He will be missed enormously.
