Left-Wing Liberal Democrat Union Goon. Thrown at him as an insult, Larry O. Miller wore the label proudly until his death on September 2, 2014. The son of an Air-Force chaplain, Larry grew up all over the world and developed an appreciation for people of all cultures and occupations.
During his eight years of service on the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees, Larry learned of the special challenges facing emancipated foster youth and took great satisfaction from the relationships he developed in his work with the Ventura County Chapter of the California Youth Connection.
But the most profound joy in his life was that found in his children. He loved to brag on his boys, on their courage, kindness and accomplishments throughout their lives.
Larry is survived by his older son, Bart, Bart's wife Yuka and son Ren, currently living in Japan, and his younger son, Garrett, of Tennessee, as well as his wife, Debi Miller of Camarillo.
The CYC is hosting a celebration of Larry's life on Friday, September 19 at 3:30 pm at Casa Pacifica, Lewis Road in Camarillo. The family asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to the Ventura County Chapter of the California Youth Connection.

Debbie, so sorry to hear you lost Larry. I will always remembers how envious we all were when he took a sabbatical and went to the Galapagos Islands. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mary Rydberg
