Dear Dawn and Family, Larry was a very special person as you well know. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Wish I could have made it down to Florida to visit with him before he became very ill. I have alot of great memories of Larry growing up and at especially in his racing days. He always could make you smile and laugh. I know he is smiling now with Grandma, Grandpa and Mom also. You take care and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dad miss you soooooo much! They say it gets better day by day but not really seeing that. My heart aches. I know you are busy with mom (Cindy) up there now. Dawn and Cory came to be with me the day mom passed....don't know what I would have done without them. We are and always will be family. I miss both of you soooo much. I know you guys are watching out for all of us.

Papa,
Today is no easier for me than the days following your passing. I miss you sooo much! We ALL miss you!! You were such an inspiration to all of us. Now when David and I watch the races on Sundays all I think about is you, and I remember when I was little laying on the floor in the living room at your house watching the race with the TV so loud it was like we were sitting in the stands and you would yell like you were really in the pits whenever something happened. Gosh all the memories I have and get to keep with me forever! Espically when we took the motor home to bike week in Daytona and ended up going all over Florida instead and you told my mom that we will be home whenever we got there if we even came back!! Papa I sure do hope you are enjoying eternity just as you did life, you sure did know how to make the best of everything! At least I know that you are there with people who love you and care about you just as much as we do here. I'm sure you won't get into to much trouble! I love you Papa always have and always will!!

Dear Grandpa Larry,
I've been trying to figure out what to put on here, and words can only describe so much. I love you and miss you terribly. I try and think of the good times but that only works for so long. I just want you to know that you will always be in my heart. I really wish I would have taken the advice, that you gave me and Allen seriously. I now realize that you don't really know what you have until it is gone. I'm so sorry for all of the times that I was causing trouble. I'm really glad I got to live with you while I was growing up. Well Papa today is no easier for me than any day this past week. I have been to the house to check on Dawn and Cory and everytime I walk around the kitchen I expect to see you there sitting in your chair and I wait to hear your voice just like always. But now I see an empty chair and only hear your voice in my head. I miss you soo much!! I'm at ease knowing that you are no longer in any more pain but I wish you were here with us. You ment more to me than you will ever know. Thank you for all the good times we all had as well as the talks you would give me when I was little. Even though sometimes it seemed I wasn't listening. :) I love you Papa now and always! Until we meet again,

Never in a million years did i expect to say good bye to you the way i did. Things wont be the same with out you around. I wont ever forget you i dont think anyone could ever forget you. Your were full of life and always had a good time no matter where it was at. I will never forget walking in the front door and being carried out the back door and dropped in the pool clothes on or not. You were a wonderful person and all though i cant see you everyday i know you here looking down on all of us. I am so glade to know your pain free and not suffering anymore. You were like an uncle to me and it hurt too see you like that. You were a good friend to alot of people. Exscpecially my dad.

Paula and I shared many great times in racing together from 1980 until 1982. Man! what that guy gave many.I still share moments of our time together with friends here in N.Carolina.
My favorite memory was when Larry and I ran a demolition derby with bags over our heads, with me riding shot gun,we laughed our rear ends off. I regret not staying closer in touch through the years,life is tough that away at times.

My dad was awesome. I could call him anytime and describe a sound my car was making he would tell me what was wrong. I could get stuck in a traffic jam, get off the interstate, get lost and call him and tell him where I was and he would tell me where to go. He helped me with many life decisions. He could tell if a guy was right for me after talking to them one time and usually he let them know. Dawn what can I say you accepted me and my mom with open arms. I feel like I have known you forever. I love you, Cory and Allen and I am here for you> :)

My dad was one of the kindest, smartest people I ever knew. He will be missed by many. He helped just about everyone he met in one way or another. My heart aches. The only peace I have is knowing that he is in a better place and suffering no more. Dawn will always be my mother and Cory and Allen my brothers. I promised my dad that we would take care of each other and that is what I will do. I thank God for allowing me to have you in my life for 42 years. My dad's favorite saying "Never had a bad day in my life!. He lived by that.

Although I only met him on the ocassion of mt Grandmothers funeral. I always had him in my prayers. Through this illness, my father Arnie has bee keeping me up to date. I wish that I would have had a chance to get to know him better in life. But I am sure that Arnie will tell me more and more as the years go on. Only being back in the family for a few short years has been great and I feel like I have known all of you forever. You are all in my prayers and I am sure that Larry is already lining up races in heaven.

To larry's family, other than Arnie you probably don't know what a colorful person Larry really was we had alot of great times growing up alot of scary times too! Last time he was in Fort Wayne he stopped and visited with myself and wife Lisa we talked of old times I don't believe he new he was sick,you know drag racing was also a passion of his we both had alot of Hot Rods and on the track we were always the fastest! Larry live in the fast lane as well as myself, death just one this race! Give them HELL Larry in the next one! I'll never forget you.
