Larry Newlin, originally from Dyer, Indiana, passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on September 27, 1944.

Larry dedicated 38 years to Ford Motor Company in South Chicago, retiring to Ruskin, Florida, where he embraced the warm weather and enjoyed a long, well-earned retirement. He spent his days pursuing his passions: fishing, golfing, watching sports, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Larry was a proud member of the Masons and found spiritual fulfillment as an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Ruskin.

Larry's life was filled with love, shared with his devoted life partner, Denise McNew. He was a proud father to his children, Parri (Edmund Garcia) and Darren Newlin, and an adoring grandfather to Olivia, Hillary, and Collin Garcia. Larry also had the joy of welcoming his great-granddaughter, Ava, into the world. He was deeply loved by his nieces, Deanna Cash and Megan Popiela, and countless friends and family who cherished his company.

He is reunited in heaven with his mother, Thelma (Hofmeister) Newlin; his sisters, Donna (Newlin) Horn and Linda (Newlin) Cash; and dear family members Jack Horn, Kathy Horn, and Connie (Horn) Truman.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Ruskin, Florida, on Sunday, January 12th at 2pm EST. Larry, your presence will be deeply missed, but the memories you created will forever live in the hearts of those who loved you.
