Jim was a great Brother in Law and we played golf and tennis together on a regular basis. Jim spent a great deal of time researching the best golf clubs and tennis rackets to give us the advantage when playing against younger players.

Larry Porter was a profound influence on my life growing up at the Jupiter-Tequesta Church of Christ. Because of him, I learned to lead singing and have been a song leader at every congregation I have been a member of for the last 26 years. I am sadden that Larry is no longer with us. That being said, he is now receiving his great reward. The singing in Heaven just got even better. Rest in peace, Larry. Thank you for showing me how to spread God´s Word through leading singing in Worship. I am eternally grateful.

I am so deeply sad that Larry has left us. I am a fellow bridge player who knew Larry from the Tampa Bay Bridge Center. I was even privileged to have had the opportunity to play as Larry´s partner one time. Larry was such a gentleman and everyone who knew him loved him. He was a great bridge player, a fierce competitor. Humble in victory and gracious when he kicked your butt. Rest in peace, dear Larry! I regret I will be out of town for his celebration but I will be there in spirit.
