Larry Rawson

I just saw this and had to send a comment. I was always a small guy but when I saw Larry in Junior High and through out high school, I was always greeted by kindness and sense of gentleness from Larry David and Lamar. This world was a better place becuse of their presence. He will be so sorely missed by his friends

I recently learned of Larry's death. My memories go way back to Brentwood Jr. High. He displayed leadership then as he was Captain of football team. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. I am so happy our life threads crossed early and continued through our high school years. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I played football with Larry at Pensacola High School. He was a great person who was funny when he wanted to be but serious about the game of football. I am deeply sorry for the family's loss.

So sorry to have heard of Larry's passing. I graduated from PHS in 1964 and although I did not know Larry personally, kindly accept my heartfelt sympathies to the family, especially David and Pat that I know, and my thanks to the Rawson brothers for the wonderful childhood memories that I have of standing on top on the PHS stadium press box watching Lamar, Larry and David play football while helping my father, Charles Overman, film the game for the team. I had the best view in the stadium. All three were the model of what an athlete should be and the character of which their families and Pensacola were proud.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Joan and with the entire Rawson family at this time of loss. Ann and I are so sadden to learn of Larry's passing. I played football with Larry and David at PHS and at Auburn University. Larry was a very special person and I have many fond memories.

Dear David and Pat,

I didn't know him that well, but when I did see him in school, or ever greet him, he always had a smile and a good word.

this a shocker to me that Larry passed, I played football with Larry for 2 years at Pensacola High and we went undefeated and were state champions my senior year, he was a great player and always had that "Rawson" smile on his face, prayers go out to David who I played with too and the entire Rawson family, what a loss but we know he is resting now in heaven. I'm sorry to hear about Larry passing. My brother Danny Eggart played football at Pensacola High School with Larry and David in the SIXTY. Danny died in 1989, Danny often talked about playing football with both Larry and David. Heaven is a better place today because of Larry and Danny.
