Mrs. Saltzman and family,
We are saddened and sorry we did not know of Larry's passing. I write for my husband Bob Welsch but knew Larry also. Bob had the pleasure of working with Larry in the 1970's at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Bob retired from the AIU in 2010 but it was Larry who helped make that possible. Larry was a mentor and advocate for the duplicating dept. They were both trying to make a better press department for the AIU and their schools. Larry did so much for the print staff by example and guidance. I will remember his smile, his pride in his family and his kindness to Bob during tough times. We speak of Larry often which makes this news painful. Such a loss to all of a caring man who had the biggest heart and huge welcoming smile, while being a true professional. Bob will forever charish their time and work together. Bob said he believes if it wasnt for Larry's guidance and experience, we may have had a very different retirement. We will now remember and thank Larry in our prayers.

Wow. I shared an apartment with Larry when we went to the art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1967-68. He was a few years older than me. His approach was so professional it had an influence on me in the kind of work that I turned in. He taught me how to work with spotless artwork. Good man! Wish I'd contacted him sooner. My condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to the Saltzman family, coming into the printing industry at 23 I had no idea about the business, Larry gave me the opportunity to start my position in bindery, over the years he entrusted in me to learn as much as I can and put forth a great effort in everything I learned and produced. Ten years later I have succeeded because of Larry, he believed in me and helped me grow professionaly and as an individual. I would not be where I'am today if it wasn't for him. Thank you for giving me that opportunity! You will be missed.

I am broken-hearted that Larry has died. Of course, my dear friend Nancy Stickle informed me of Larry's passing. Larry and I were high school sweet hearts, and that never goes away. My family has fond memories of Larry. Your family has been fortunate to have had him all these years. I am so sorry for the loss for everyone. He was a great guy! Love, Carolyn

To the Saltzman Family and Employees of
Type & Print,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Larry's passing. He was always a genuine customer, one who would ask how my family was doing, especially my youngest son. Larry was generous to place ads in my son's ice hockey booklet for 6 years. I Such a dear man who will be greatly missed. My prayers to you and yours.
