To robert, Nicki, Susan, Kelly, Neil
I recently tried to contact Larry to ask him for a letter of recommendation to apply for the FAA Master pilot award for 50 years in aviation. It was during this time i regrettably found out of his recent passing.
It is with my deepest sympathy to all the family, that I sincerely express my personal sorrow to your regrettable loss.
Larry was a very special friend. He was one of the most professional, loyal and nicest individuals i have had the opportunity to work with in my entire aviation career. I will always consider him a respected co-worker and dear friend.
We worked closely together when the Highway Patrol and Dept of Transportation aircraft maintenance programs merged. He served as Maintenance Superintendent in both programs and was instrumental in the success of the merger and continued quality of the program. With Larry's leadership and guidance, we were repeatedly recognized as one of the most outstanding aviation maintenance programs in the country. He was latter acknowledged for this accomplishments by the State of Ohio, Ohio House of Representatives.
I could go on for the many accomplishments Larry had in his professional career, but it was his shared stories about his wonderful family and his devotion to them all, that i know brought him the real joy of a meaningful career and life.
Larry will be deeply missed by me, and all his lifetime aviation associates and friends. The Talbott family will be making a personal donation to the Shriner's Children Hospital, in Larry's Memory.
With deepest sympathy, Philip Talbott, retired, State of Ohio Aviation

" Larry was one of the most decent and honorable men Ive known in all my Life. He brings merit to those terms from a time when they used to mean something.
I was always especially impressed with how much he looked out for and cared for his daughters. He felt like a beloved uncle to me. I will miss his wry humor, his wit, his voice. His ability to put his own twist on things, say the most hilarious in his special way.
He made the world a brighter place and thats the most you can say of any man.
He will greatly and deeply missed.

Larry was a great friend. I've known him for many years--we rented from him--he was a business associate--and he was a great friend. If I can do anything, please let me know. My # is 614-271-6053.
