Oh yes, Larry LOVED to fish and hunt. For the past 7 years my husband Steve took him hunting and Larry was able to get his deer. Steve would help him do the heavy lifting. He was a very kind gentle soul. He'd call us every few days just to say hello and check in. We will miss him a lot.

Mr. Sheets is what we called him at Arlington Elementary School in the late 1960's. He was my 6th teacher and baseball coach. He was strict but fair. When you are 12 years old you have a different view than you do as you get older.
As I look back now, he was a great man. He often talked about the outdoors and i think loved to fish and hunt. I saw him a few times later in life and he was always fun to talk to. I admire him for his service for our country and also for our school system. Mr. Sheets will be missed. He had a positive effect on hundreds of students. Enjoy heaven Mr. Sheets! We will see you again!
