Mr. Larry R. Stone

Mr. Larry R. Stone, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, November 5, 2021, at his home. Mr. Stone was born in Murray, Kentucky, on December 3, 1947, to the late Rex Stone and Estell (Shekell) Stone. Mr. Stone retired from Fisher Price and was of the Baptist faith. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the 1st Calvary Division and was a member of the VFW Post #6291. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stone was preceded in death by one brother, Lynn Stone; and by one stepbrother, Michael Outland. Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Sandra Stone of Murray, Kentucky, whom he married on May 28, 1994; three sons, Brad Stone, Stephen Downey and fiancé Michelle Snyder, and Scott Downey and wife Lisa; three sisters, Carol Stone, Sandra K. Duncan, and Rosanna Stone all of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Eddie Lee Stone and wife Judy of Gilbertsville, Kentucky and Danny Ray Stone of Murray, Kentucky; as well as seven grandchildren, Jenna Stone, Blake Downey, Jade Green, Holly Green, Jace Downey, Jacob Snyder, and Sydney Downey. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Elijah Ballentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the VFW Post #6291. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H.
