My name is Gene Rene, Baltimore,Md.
I new Larry from when we were teenagers in the Hampden area of Baltimore. I knew all of his family where they lived on Beech Ave. Larry lived in Crofton. He used to come up to Shrewsbury PA. For breakfast with our old teenage guys from the neighborhood. Larry always made it up there when he could. I just heard about his passing on May 12.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
I'm having or breakfast tomorrow MAy 14 in Penna. And will pass the info on to them. Again I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

My GREAT uncle. My UL. I´m not sure why I never thought it was possible that you could leave us, you were invincible in my eyes, yet here we are. The most permanent, reliable male fixture in my life. I will thank God every single day for being blessed with you and everything you left me with. The million and one memories, lessons, hugs, and cheers you gave. There is nobody that could fill your shoes in my eyes. I remember being in 5th grade and having to do a report on our greatest "hero". I chose you, but the teacher said no because she had no idea who you were! I just couldn´t believe she didn´t know of the great UL! All of the televisions that we fixed, computers we took apart, random things we built, you taught me how to use every tool, and even gave me a bunch of them. I´ll never listen to ZZ Top, play a guitar, use a drill, watch Washington football, skip 2 steps, watch a stand-up, go to Subway, or face any technical issue without thinking of you. (Speaking of, I need some guidance on fixing a motor in one of Jordis´ toys!) My heart aches knowing I won´t hear your voice again, but I try to find comfort in knowing you´re back with my Gram especially. I hope you guys keep the party going until I get there. Watch over us all down here, we still need you. I love you so much. -Meg

It has been a month since Larry has passed. Not a moment goes by that I don't think of him. We used to do so many things together and now I'm looking ahead without him. Losing him is one thing.. learning to live without him is another. I love him and I miss him terribly.

Larry was a wonderful friend for 60 years. We first met when he and my husband worked for RCA in Maryland. We sailed together and when he married Martie we all became close friends and enjoyed many good times together. Jean and Jerry Spero

My UL! Thursdays were always my favorite day of the week and every Thursday I like to think that he is still making time to visit me. He was an Uncle, a father figure, and a big kid all in one. So much so that there was never any doubt in my mind who I would do a father/daughter dance with at my wedding. And not just any dance, we danced to one of the songs he had recorded himself playing. He was and will always be one of the most important people in my life for so many reasons. He always made me feel special, important, smart, and beautiful. He was one of the only men I have ever felt that to be true from because he was one of the only men I ever felt that I could completely trust. My Uncle Larry will be so dearly missed. I am devastated that my son will not have the opportunity to play with our UL, but I am hopeful that I can teach him at least some of the things my UL taught me. Like when we hear a ribbit it´s because the froggy has a tummy ache! All of my love forever and ever, Morgan

Larry Dude; I miss your smile, I miss our comical talks, your voice playing the guitar; I miss every ounce of you. You were my "other Brother", and my friend. I pray to you every day and night and hope you are in Heaven where you belong. I can hear you playing guitar and Michael singing beside you. You are loved and missed Dude; save a seat for me.

Martha Tackett: There are so many times spent enjoying the company of so many. These photos "through the years" are a few small clips of the many many loving moments spent with Larry. He will always be part of my life. It is so hard living without him.
