In memory of
Ellen Stenstrom
April 1, 2003
Dear Linda and Rachel,
Although I have been one of the "quiet neighbors" in your neighborhood, I will always have two special thoughts about your husband and dad.
One, as we got settled into the neighborhood and I would drive by your home, if Brent was out, he ALWAYS had a wave for me - and that I appreciate so very much. It turned me into a lifelong 'waver' because it is a small way to acknowledge another being and show a little courtesy and friendliness in this world.
Second - when Brent got the riding mower, it made such an impression - because I know he was quite sick then - and I was REMINDED TO DO WHAT YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN DO, AS LONG AS YOU CAN. I can always picture seeing him riding that mower in the front yard and so proud of his contribution and effort. I hope I will always have that much drive to keep going.
Thank you Brent for these two gifts.
The first really warm day of each year when Spring breaks through, I will picture you and remember you.
My thoughts will be with both of you in the coming days.

Linda, I only just heard Thursday that Brent was in the hospital and today I heard that he had passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss. You've always been very special to me and I know that you will face some difficult roads ahead of you. Please know that I have a good shoulder to cry on and that I'm a good listener. I'll keep you and Rachel in my prayers.
Love, Beryl

Linda,
So sorry to hear of Brent's death. He was such a special man, overcoming so much pain without complaint. He was truly a role model for all. Wish we could be there with you, but our thoughts and prayers are with you and Rachel.
Much Love,
Gary, Janet, and Brooks

Linda,
With sadness, I read Brent's obituary. My thoughts are with you and Rachel. I remember when you were pregnant with Rachel when we worked together at Little & Associates. You seemed so very happy.
I now live in Charlotte again--Dave, my husband, & I have two boys, 9 & 6. My kindergartner has Type 1 Diabetes, and it is an every day struggle. I am sending a contribution to the American Diabetes Association in Brent's name. My thoughts are with you.
Fondly,
Janice
