Larry was a gem and family meant everything to him. I know Larry and Ruth through the friendship of Andy and my daughter, Sarah. They have wonderful children and grandchildren and he will be missed very much.

When my wife and I plus 3 children moved to Brown County in 1987, we didn't know anyone and were looking to make some friends. One winter soon after arriving, we had a bad snow storm and the power went out for a week. We only had an electric furnace so, we were up a creek. Somehow Larry heard about it and showed up at our house with a portable propane furnace for us to use. I won't ever forget his kindness to us. We became good friends from then on.
