Larry L. Wagner, 81, formerly of Dresden, Ohio died Friday evening, November 11, 2022 at Altercare South, Newark, Ohio.
Born February 16, 1941 in Franklin, Ohio he was a son of the late Joseph F. Wagner, Sr. and Evelyn I. (Knight) Wagner and was a 1959 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Larry was a retired factory worker, having worked for Clow Corporation and Steel Ceilings, Inc. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Dresden, Eagles #2040 of Coshocton and Sons of the American Legion of Dresden. Larry enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, watching Tri-Valley Football and bird watching.
Surviving are three sons, Toby (Christine) Wagner of Westerville, Ohio, Todd (Kim) Wagner of Dresden and Troy (Nicole) Wagner of Newark; eight grandchildren, Logan (MacKenzie) Wagner, Lindsey (Nick) Rivera, Seth (Lacie) Wagner, Cody (Jenna) Wagner, Sidney (Dylan) Davis, Baleigh (Allen Schirtzinger) Wagner, Cole Wagner and Conner Allen and eight great grandchildren, Avery and Oakley Rivera, Sutton Wagner, Aella Wagner, Lainey Mae and Cal Davis, Quincy and Ava Rae Schirtzinger and Baby Boy Wagner due in February, 2023. Also surviving are his sisters in-law, Marlene Wagner, Peg Wagner, Ruth Wagner and Judy Cody; a brother in-law, Roger (Jeanette) Cody and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna M. (Cody) Wagner whom he married April 15, 1961 and who died June 4, 2019 and three brothers, Joseph Wagner, Jr., Thomas Wagner and William Wagner.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 405 Chestnut Street with the Reverend Father Ryan Schmit as celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
