Dear Colleen and family,

We are sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a joyful and fun man, who we always looked forwarded to seeing. There was not a time together that we did not share a laugh. He will be missed.

To Auntie Colleen, Candace, Michelle, and Angela

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you all.

As I sit here and write this I keep having heartfelt memories that keep repeating in my mind and bring a smile to my face. I know these memories were created a long time ago but will be something that stays with me forever. Uncle Rick was someone who participated in many of my firsts. Your wedding was the first I got to attend and I was honored being one of your flower girls. I was presented with a beautiful gold bracelet which I still have to this day. Another first was getting to drive up Bowness road in uncle Rick's new car listening to the beach boys, wow did I feel like a grown up. Sharing Friday nights and introducing me to Tom's House of Pizza. I'm still a big fan of Toms and every time no matter whom I'm with I let them know it was my uncle who introduced it to me. Uncle Rick was there encouraging me to get up on water skis and of course had a grin when I had a wipe out. Introducing us to the game of Bumper and we stood behind him while he played and listening to him laugh no matter whether he won or lost. Allowing me to light up a cigarette and take a buff and capturing it in a photo to freak my mom out. I thought wow he's so cool and so much fun to be around.

These are memories that will always last forever.

Love
Rose

We are so sad that Rick will no longer be there when we visit Calgary. Whether it was a pot of chilli or a noggin of ale he made us feel most welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cousin Colleen and family. Love to all. Bill and Lola
