LaTasha D. Moses-Frierson

Moses-Frierson, (Tasha) LaTasha D. age 33, of Muskegon, Michigan passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tasha was born to Lori Moses and Frank Hannah on January 23, 1983. It was here, in Muskegon, that she planted her roots, graduating from Muskegon High School in 2001 and completing the Registered Nursing Program at Muskegon Community College in 2014. During this time, she met many people in whom she would cultivate meaningful relationships with; including her husband, Christopher. The two were married on July 24, 2009. Building, maintaining and caring for her family was always important to Tasha. Both Chris and Tasha had a child previous to the two of them meeting, but that didn't keep them from each other. The pair would bear five more children over the years. All seven children were and still are so very precious and loved. Tasha worked as an RN until she was diagnosed with colon cancer in June of 2015. Nursing was her passion in life. Tasha also loved swimming, and instilled the love of the water into her kids. She loved going to the beach and spending time with her family, watching them all splash and play. Every summer she kept the tradition of hosting an annual Fish Fry. Family from across the country would flock to Tasha's home just to hang out, relax and reconnect. She looked forward to this gathering each and every year. Tasha was also famous for spontaneous kitchen dance parties, midnight trips to Meijer and impromptu sleepovers. Countless times, cousins and friends would visit, and end up staying overnight. Tasha also made sure no one ever went away from her home hungry. She was quick to make a plate and sit you down at her table to eat. Of course, Tasha poured her heart and soul into her kids. She was their biggest fan. She made sure they were signed up for their extra-curricular activities and attended as many practices, games and performances as she could. Nothing made her more proud, than to see her kids performing. Tasha's family and friends will forever be impacted by her life and example. Tasha is survived by her husband, Christopher, Step son, Christian (of Milwaukee, WI), Sons LeRoy and LaMont, and Daughters, LaMya, twins LaTavia & LaTasia and Laylah (all of Muskegon), Mother, Lori Moses and Step Father, Hezekiah Allen, Father Frank Hannah, Mother-in-law Rosalee Frierson all of Muskegon, Brother, Anthony Moses of Gwinn, MI, Sister LaTonya Moses-Tyler (DeMario) of Muskegon, Brothers-in-Law Alonzo Frierson and Andre Frierson (LaJoy Cotton) and Sister-in-Law, Monica Walker (Gregory) all of Muskegon, Uncles Jack Johnson (Robin) of Phoenix, AZ and Garey Johnson (Marie-Jeanne Julliand) of Redwood, CA, Aunts Molly Moses, Mary Flowers (LaDon) both of Muskegon, and Alice Williams of Chicago, IL, nephew Carter Vincent, niece, Alanda Moses, special cousins Deriveria Burrell (little cousins Avyanna and Aamani), of Muskegon, and Sarah Johnson (little cousins Cedric, Anita, Xavier, Aniyah, Terrell, Aiyana) of Ypsilanti, MI, god-brother Steven Rice, god-sisters Rose Rice, both of Muskegon, LaToya Shanks of Snellville, GA and very special friend Devon Bell. She also leaves behind a village of many other siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other special people in her life. Tasha was preceeded in death by her Father-In-Law, David Bell, Grandmother Magnolia Morris, Grandmother Ruthabea Hannah, Niece Asia Frierson, Cousin Cottrell Plummer and Cousin Lavontae Moses. Psalm 23 A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at The Upper Room Church Ministries, 1450 Catherine, Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442, with the Eulogy by Pastor Jerry Riley. Cremation services provided by Toombs Funeral Home, 2108 Peck St., Muskegon Heights, MI 49444. In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that gifts to be made to Tasha's children.
