Margaret and I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Senator Faircloth. He served our state well in both business and political endeavors. His politics were characterized by integrity and practicality. He was a good man in every respect and a role model for anyone considering a career in public service. I always valued his wise, commonsense counsel during my tenure as State GOP Chairman.

My dear friend who made me laugh all the time. I will never forget Lauch walking into my house with Charlton Heston for a dinner fundraiser for Lauch. I still have the chair marked that Charlton sat in. A memorable evening for sure. You and your humor will be missed. Edwina

I knew US Senator Lauch Faircloth, when he was Secretary, Department of Commerce, under Governor Jim Hunt´s administration.
He was a mentor and advisor of mine.
He always offered his time and advice to everyone and was a true public servant to the citizens of NC.
He will be greatly missed. A NC Statesman.

He was my boss early in my career. He was a very good boss who did not micro-manage, but demanded results. He was also my very good friend.
North Carolina has lost one of her finest citizens who knew how to get things done. We keep losing our best.

My mother enjoyed going to White Lake as a teenager, and Lauch was often a part of those happy memories. All the best to Anne.
