Laura D. Adams

Lara D. Adams, age 46 of Kuttawa, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at her home following a short illness. She was a teacher at Lyon County Elementary School and a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Adams, Kuttawa; one son, Trace Adams, Kuttawa; her parents, Larry and Linda Barnes Day, Kuttawa; one brother, Rob Day and wife, Season, Kuttawa; and two nieces, Alex Lampkin and Emma Lampkin.
Visitation was held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at Eddyville First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, at 6 p.m. at the church with Rev. Tim Perdue officiating. Visitation was also held on Sunday, February 21, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Duncan Memorial Chapel at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, with burial following.
Memorial donations made to Lourdes Hospice Foundation Fund, P.O. Box 7100, Paducah, Ky. 42002-9961 will be used to support an annual dinner celebration in Lara's honor for patients who are currently undergoing oncology treatments. Lara was a positive supporter of others in treatment. She and her family wanted to celebrate and support those who are in the fight against cancer. Please mark your check as "Lara's Celebration."
