Laura Cole

Laura Lucile Cole (Flannigan) passed away in Saginaw on November 1, 2012. Lucile was born on July 4, 1919 in Decker, Michigan, daughter of Hiram and Florence Flannigan. She was the youngest of her siblings, Amanda, Bessie, Victor, Verna, and Esther. Lucile married Julius Cole, with whom she had four sons, Julian, Robert, James and Mark. Lucile was quick-witted, full of good humor, and thoroughly enjoyed the joy of laughter. An avid story-teller, Lucile would describe in literary detail scenes from childhood, the companionship of her sisters as a young girl, and the joys of her life. Brightness, a welcoming door, and a sincere greeting were Lucile's every day manner. The world was her garden which she cultivated with care and understanding. She was selfless, compassionate, and always put her family first. She leaves behind her sons Julian (Bonnie), Robert (Laura) and James as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
