Roland - Sue and I were so sorry to hear of Laura's passing. She was a fine person and you two made a wonderful couple and had a great life together.

Mom, I miss you so much. You were my mother, my best friend and the one person I could always trust with my thoughts. You would reply in such a simple philosophic ways of communicating to me. Thank you for understanding all the hardship that kept us apart. We overcame it. You will stay in my heart as my mother forever. I just love and miss you so much. I want to call and say hi and chat awhile. In Gods time we will again, until that time I'm praying for you. I know your an angel, please put in a good word for me. Mom, I love you dearly. I will take care of Dad if me allows it. Don't worry about him, his family loves him so much. I love you Mom

Laurie is what I called her! She was my friend, my buddy, and I consider her my sister. I would have walked to the ends of the earth for her as she would have for me. O God I will miss her so much! She was everything to me! I learned from her... O God please take care of her...by the way God if you are hungry Laurie is a great cook! I love you Laurie say Hi to Cecil for me hope to see you soon!

Dear Roland, I wanted to say how sorrow I am to learn of Laura's passing. As a PEO member she was so very generous in sharing your home with Bed and Breakfast guests and her talents with our chapter. She was a very dear and kind lady. May your memories help sustain you at this difficult time.

I can not express the sad feelings I have of my good friend Laurie's passing. Laurie was an angel not only to me but everyone she met. She knew no strangers. I will miss her dearly.

Words cannot describe the respect and admiration we have for Laurie, our next door neighbor. She was so generous with everything! She was always working on a creative project and was always helping someone or some organization. She had the beautiful gift of making each and every person she came into contact with feel special. We will miss her so much!

Beautiful, warm, generous, talented, indefatigable, kind and full of love for her fellow man. These are just a few words and sentiments that jump into my mind when thinking of Laura DeVita. When I first met Laura, she and Roland, among many other things, were taking care of a fellow parishioner who had become wheelchair bound and had tremendous breathing problems. They found out he lived alone, had no family around and was having a difficult time. They became his family and took care of him until he passed away. They set a wonderful example and he was one of many people they "took in" and looked after. She was like a second mother to anyone who needed help. Then there's the cooking/feeding the masses facet of Laura. Mama Mia! Did she know how to put on a feast. And she did - frequently! I could go on and on but suffice it to say, she will be remembered by so many with much love and great memories. Our love and thoughts are with Roland and all of those who will miss her so much.

Sadly we only had the pleasure of meeting Laura one time at Stahl Post American Legion with her daughter Lori who we are close friends with. She was a very sweet and friendly lady. Our thoughts, prayers & love go out to her family at this difficult time.
