I will never forget you "Ma Hill" as she was affectionately called by many of her students. I had the pleasure of being one of those students and speak of her fondly to this day. Rest in peace "Ma Hill" we will miss you!

I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Hill as my 4th grade teacher. Of all the teacher's i've had ... she stands out as an old fashion, take no prisoner's teacher with a heart! It was a pleasure having her as an educator and knowing her over the years. I can only hope that my children are lucky enough to experience a teacher as caring as Mrs. Hill. My sincere condolences to her family ...

Dear Sandi, Laurie and Family,
Lee and I had the pleasure of working at NL with Laura for many years. Moreso, our children had the pleasure of having her for a teacher. She was the best of all things: teacher, mother, friend and colleague. She will be sorely missed, but I suspect she and Lionel are now dancing in another place. Our love to all of you.

We would like to extend our sympathy on the death our sister-in-law, Laura. She was a kind and gentle person, and one who will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and former students. We were so glad to have had the opportunity to see her on the occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary, which was a happy time, and will fondly remember sharing in their special day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

With Sympathy,
Richard and Maureen Root

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. Laura was a gracious and loving person. She never failed to ask me how my kids were doing. I smile thinking about how I could never get her to call me by my first name - it was always "Mr. Lance".

Her kind smile is a warm spot in my heart. I secretly wished she could be my grandma too when I was young.

We are very saddened to hear of Laura's passing. Laura first impressed me, as a new teacher, as one who genuinely cared for each of her students, a second mom. She touched so many lives as an educator. As time went on, she and Lionel became more than acquaintences and a couple that we were priviledged to call friends. The good times we shared will never be forgotten. I am a better person to have known and worked with Laura over many years at New Lebanon. Rest in Peace.

Dear Sandi, Laurie and Family,
We were truly saddened to learn of the loss of your dear Mother, our sister-in-law. We will forever hold close memories of a gentle, kind and genuinely caring person. Your loss is great, but the memories she left you with will serve to comfort you now and in the days ahead. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Charlie and Andrea Root

I have so many memories of my sister-in-law, Laura. My brothers and I first met her in Berlin when Lionel brought his bride home. She was my matron of honor over fifty years ago and I wore her wedding dress. Although my husband and son live over a thousand miles away, we managed to visit about yearly and enjoy her hospitality. We always saw pictures of grandchildren and trips and heard many enjoyable tales about family. We all know many will miss her.

I have so many wonderful memories of Laura and Lionel. They were surrogate grandparents to us and more family than they were friends. She was a generous, loving, warm person. A beautiful light went out the day Laura was called to Heaven. It won't seem the same to come visit Mom & Dad and not go down to see Laura. Sending my love and prayers to Sandi & family and Laurie.

There was no one in the town of Berlin more loving then Laura Hill. She and Lionel were a part of our family since I was a child. They watched me grow and become a wife & mother. The memories I have will never be forgotten and the love she showed my children will be cherished. Berlin lost a wonderful lady but I know that she is smiling down on all of us with Lionel by her side and they are happy & together again.
Love & hugs to all,

Mr. & Mrs. Hill were part of a camping group that my parents belonged to and although she was a teacher of mine, I saw here bi-yearly at our house thereafter. I will always remember Mrs. Hill for her smile and her height. I distincly remember the year I grew taller than her. She was the perfect hugging height! I am glad she will find peace with Our Savior and my sympathy to her family and friends as you try to find a new normal with Mrs. Hill gone... but never, ever forgotten.
