Thank you Aunt Laura for allowing me to come and stay on the farm twice a year when I was a youngster. Being a city girl and the baby of the family of six children, I jumped at the chance to leave home and you treated me just like one of your own. Although I wasn't asked to do a lot like my sister Lynn because I was much younger, I remember playing a lot. But most of all I remember the love that emanated from the family originating with you, Aunt Laura.
To my dear cousins: I know you all have a huge hole in your hearts right now that feels like a mighty ocean. But in time God will heal that hole, fill it with wonderful memories of your Mother for you to keep until you see her again. Don't be afraid to go to bereavement counseling if you feel you need it. I went for a year after my mom passed and it really helped me a lot. It helps to talk about her, so every chance you get, do it. You will all be in our prayers.

As a kid growing up I use to stay at their farm to be with my cousins. Trouble is we had to get up with the rooster at 4 a.m. to do chores. My chore was feeding the chickens (better than the pigs). I loved playing in the hay in the barn too. Chores and play was one thing, but aunt Laura's cooking was the best. Her huge breakfasts with homemade bread and real butter and don't forget the milk right from the cow. Loved her cooking and her pies were the best. Aunt Laura you will always be in my heart. We all love you and will miss you dearly. It meant alot to me to have precious visits with you in this last couple months. You are special. Now you are with our Lord and everyone who passed before you that you loved. Give my mom (Millie) a big hug and kiss from us. To my cousins: May God bless you and keep you in this next year & beyond. You will miss her so much and you will cry alot. Stay close to the Lord and He will get you through this. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on please call me. I love you all.
