Laura, my friend, sister-in-law and my Sister and Best Friend. You are in my thoughts daily. The OH so many good times and long hours on the phone, sometimes just minutes even if I lived in a different state. You were always there for me and I for you. I miss you SIS. Love always

My sympathies to Laura's family and friends. I also met 'Etz", as we came to know her, our freshman year at UNC. She kept us laughing and often seemed a step ahead of most of us with the latest slang, style or songs. How we used to enjoy her push-button transmission Dodge Dart! We roomed together for most of our undergrad and grad school years. Although we lost touch over the years, 7 of us did have a nice 25 year reunion in Denver. She was a unique person and will live on in my happy memories of those formative years in college.

To Laura's family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I have not seen Laura in years, but she had a huge impact on me. When I student taught at Corwin in the Fall of 1982 she went out of her way to welcome me and to make me feel like a 'real teacher'. She gave me so many ideas and tips. Even though she was not my supervising teacher she took me under her wing. She touched so many lives. My heart goes out to all of you.

To Laura's family,
Sorry I am unable to attend her service today. Laura and I were good friends during our single years. I remember her one navy blue sailor dress well. I also remember her smile and loved hearing her refer to her mom as "Mouse". I cherish the times we shared. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in Peace, Laura.

My sympathies to the family. I met Laura in the dorm our freshman year at UNC. Soon there were six of us and we called ourselves the "BS'ers... (Bleached and Streaked ....Laura's idea) We spent hours talking, laughing, drinking, and acting foolish and all the while we were finding out about life and who we were. Laura was my roommate for the better part of 5 years..then we all traveled different directions to find our futures and in the process lost touch. That saddens me. I will always treasure the memories of Laura, especially her quick wit. She was one of the important people during my "early independence" years. I loved her. I wish I could have know the woman she became. Phyllis Wilke-Waltho

May your spirit fly free & join all of those you love who passed before. You were my best friend in High School and the Maid of Honor at our wedding. I will see you again!
