Laura Lee Steiermann

Laura Lee Steiermann, died peacefully at home in St.Petersburg, Florida on September 15, 2025. Laura grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. In high school she wowed her friends with her intricately-patched bell bottoms which were also a point of personal pride. She graduated magna cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1985. Always on the go, Laura moved to Florida in 1990 in pursuit of the sun and she never looked back. She married Barry Strafacci in 2004, leaving behind a long line of disappointed admirers. She loved her Florida home and life. She paddle boarded and kayaked with her many friends, traveled the world with her husband, and was very creative with painting, costume designing, and building a magnificent mosaic on the exterior of her house chimney.



She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Meriel Steiermann. Her sister Linda Kimlin (Mark), and brothers Fred III (Donna), and John (Karla) will miss her. Also much loved nieces and nephews: Siobhan Lee Steiermann, Alexander Ruiz, Maximilian Kimlin, Madeline Kimlin, Erin Steiermann (goddaughter), Emma Kimlin, Rick (Fred IV) Steiermann, Christian Steiermann, Jillian Steiermann, and Joshua Steiermann.
