Laura was a shinning star with lots of energy and a beautiful smile. I remember conducting a workshop with Laura. She truly helped to make it a fun day. She will definitely be missed.

We just heard the sad news tonight. Laura was a wonderful person. As a neighbor, she brought fun and energy to any gathering whether it was 2 or 22. She cared a lot about all of her neighbors and actively got to know us.
Her positive attitude toward her illness was truly inspirational. She loved to be active and she kept taking walks and doing Pilates and dance as long as her body would possibly allow. She took her painting to a new level even as her health declined. We were privileged to know her and our hearts go out to Robert, Jimmy, Debby, and the rest of their family. May she rest in peace.

Laura was a cherished friend, full of unbridled spirit and contagious energy. She had an incredible ability to lift anyone's spirits, even during her own struggles. Her enthusiasm for life and fun never wavered. Laura wasn´t just the life of the party; she was also incredibly giving and kind. I remember asking her to check in on my cat while I was away, and she not only spent time loving on my kitty, but also noticed my kitchen cushions needed repair and sewed them by hand to surprise me. She loved unapologetically, and we will all miss her deeply.

Laura was my school mentor when I went through my master's degree program. She became a wonderful friend. I have the painting she gave me after graduating hanging in my living room. I miss her. She brought enthusiasm in everything she did.

Laura found, and created JOY in all her endeavors, and she was always up for living life in a big way! She made day-to-day experiences playful, and had a way of tackling the difficulties with a positive and practical perspective. She readily shared advice on parenting, work, exercise.... She was amazingly wise, even as a young woman. I thoroughly enjoyed her honesty and fiesty spirit. She readily opened her home to host a variety of activities, as she valued time together with her friends. Whether we were doing referrals for early childhood, taking Zumba classes, going dancing, or attending book club dinners- she had a zest for all she did, and she shared her enthusiasm for life with everyone she met.

Laura was always full of energy and had a fun positive attitude. She was always on time and ready with her paperwork for meetings on the little ones when we worked together at Dawson Orman. She was always willing to step in when needed when a child or teacher was experiencing difficulties. She will be missed! So sad she won´t be here to spend time with Poppy!Kathy Flowers

Laura saw the positive in every situation. She was a champion for ALL students,
especially the most challenging ones. I will never forget her tenacious spirit for a particular kiddo that was extremely tough to work with. Laura always came to the rescue when others were throwing their hands up. She would come up with the right trick to coax the child into complying with what needed to be done. I never saw her turn down a challenge. Laura had a true gift and was a fierce advocate for ECE students.

Laura was such a sweet lady with a big smile, she will be missed by so many people who were lucky enough to get to know her. I am one of those fortunate people that had the privilege of working with her in Early Childhood.
