ELKHART - Laura Catherine “Little Looney Lipless Lolly Lick Logan” Welton, age 67, rested gently into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, while surrounded by her family and friends at her home. Laura was born March 28, 1949, to Melvin Kaizer and Bertha Lucile (Basham) Copp in Mishawaka.

On July 29, 1967, Laura wed her true love and soul mate, Thomas (Tuna) Welton. Laura was employed at Needlecraft in Elkhart, Indiana, for 18 years but her life revolved around her family and friends. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, call Lolly. If you needed a private talk, call Lolly. If you needed a good laugh, call Lolly. Laura was anyone and everyone's ear in a time of need.

Laura and Tom gave birth to a baby boy, Thomas “Tommy” Allen Welton (Dawn and Cash) Junior on December 26, 1968. Tommy blessed Laura and Tom with two grandbabies, Brandon and Tia Welton, being even more blessed with Skylynn Welton, her first and only great-granddaughter!

Still surviving and missing her every day are her five siblings. Donald (Sherry) Copp, May (Jim) Wilshire, Nancy (Walter) Brock, David “Rencopp”, (Leisa) Copp. Having a large family Lolly had many nieces and nephews: Melissa & Jeff (Morgan & Abby) Bradley, Gena & George (Jon, Kayla, Mary, Ally, Carson, Kalob, Kendrick) Peebles, Ted & Rose (Robert, Kaylin, Christina, Rachel) Thompson, Kristin (Bob) Long, Kenny (Brodi, Corrinia, Kaylia) Copp, Steven & Crystal (Brittney, Ethan, Kaylee, Alayna) Copp, Stacy & Joe ( Ellen, Emily, Joey, Katey, Johnnny) Kronewitter. Her mother and father were awaiting her in Heaven.

When not throwing one of her many gatherings for her family and friends Laura could be found at Four Winds Casino, those slots will never be the same without her. She also enjoyed her lively Friday nights listening to her husband and friends singing Karaoke at the Moose Lodge in Elkhart. She was a phenomenal cook and avid horror movie fanatic!

To Laura's final breath she worried about everyone else's comfort: “Are you ok, do you need anything? Why aren't you sleeping?” In the end she went with a heart of gold and the knowledge that she loved her Jesus and her family. She was a wife, a mommy, a sister, an aunt, a best friend, she was everything to so many, and she will be so missed.

Come celebrate Laura's life with us, Sunday, October 2nd, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at BK Club, 721 S. West Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544. All are welcome as this is a great time of celebration for a woman who helped and loved so many through her life. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the American Lung Association. If you are unable to make a donation at this time honor Lolly with a random act of kindness. Let's keep her memory alive by being kind to those around us, just as she was so kind!
