Laurel Clements

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Heaven has a new angel.

We are so sorry to learn of Laurel's death. The Grygar and Clements families are in our thoughts and prayers.

As one of Noreen's classmates from Mary Immacultate, I just wanted to let the Grygar family know they were in my prayers. It has been years since I have seen Laurel, but I remember her bright wide smile. I am happy to see through the shared pictures that sense of cheerfulness continued to radiate from her well into adulthood, and even in pictures where she was clearly ill. My heart goes out to her family and her children.

I had the privilege of teaching both of Laurel's daughters. She was an amazing woman and mother. My prayers go out to her precious family.

Laurel was a most rare blend of strength and kindness.
A true example. Showed us all how to be tough, yet graceful and be singularly elegant even while facing adversity.

Bill and I are traveling in Australia and New Zealand and got word of the sudden loss of Laurel from our daughter Angela.Our thoughts and prayers are with the family daily. Laurel's suffering is now over and the whole of Heaven is rejoicing in this beautiful new angel who has joined them. May our Lord lift you all and give you peace. Her beautiful smile and the love she shared with family will always remain in our hearts until we can be with her again. Love to all the family! Ilene & Bill

Laurel has been an almost sister for the last 20+ years, and her absence is a gaping hole in my life. Her cheer and joy were an honor to witness and receive. She loved her parents, siblings, Dave and her charming kids with all her heart. I'm so glad to have known her.

I was stunned and very sad to hear that Laurel has passed away. She faced her illness very bravely and will be missed by all who knew her.....Sending prayers up for her family and friends.

Laurel was a unique and special person in her blessed ability to see the world/live her life with both the wisdom of an adult and the joy of a child. I am flooded with many memories tonight of our time in college together. Too many to share here, but panicking her family by cutting her hair in her dorm room one evening (hey, she asked me to! And we used Fiskars scissors, no less!) and the many conversations we had when she would escape the craziness of dorm/university life to hang out in the apartment I shared with L. Tamayo-Gamborino all those weekends ago are some of the standouts. To this day, I make wishes whenever I notice the clock has the same numbers on both sides of the colon -- she'd always say "make a wish" and I would, and I don't think I've ever NOT done it in the more than 15 years since. Rest in peace, old friend. My heart, my thoughts, and my prayers are with the Grygar and Clement families, this week and in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. To lose her light is a loss, but to gain her as a guardian angel is the most special of blessings. Goodbye, old friend.

Laurel was a shining light. She was a wonderful friend, sister, and mother. She found so much joy in life's adventures. Laurel will be so deeply missed.

The only way we will all get through this is one breath at a time, one step at a time, minute after minute, praying for strength as we go. We are here for you and the kids, Dave.

There are no words that can adequately express how much Laurel will be missed. She was an amazing sister and mother who I know will never be far from my thoughts.
