Laurel M. Parsons

PEABODY — Mrs. Laurel M. (Cleveland) Parsons, 90, of Peabody died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, in a local nursing facility following a brief illness.

She was the beloved wife of Frank Parsons, with whom she shared more than 67 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Laurel (Edwina) Cleveland, and Henry W. Ellis. She was raised in Lynn and previously resided in Lynnfield, Cape Cod, Worcester, and most recently, Peabody.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Parsons worked as an inspector for General Electric Co. in Lynn. She enjoyed the theater and also loved dancing and singing.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Dawn Parsons Spear and her husband, Bradford, of Amesbury. She was the grandmother of Bradford A. Parsons of Grafton and Erin E. Toohil of Sutton. She was also the great-grandmother of James and Shannon Toohil.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service in the Brooksby Village Chapel, 300 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
