I am sorry to hear about your Mom.I am so glad I got to talk her and thank her for all of the wonderful things she had done for me during our high school years,I can't help but wonder if I would be here today if not for her. She is a very special lady. I will miss her.

Chuck ~ I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. She took care of you here on earth and now she is your angel from heaven. I will include your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Today is a sad day for me .. My grandmother passed away Saturday evening from cancer. She was a special person to me. Special because she isn't my biological grandmother. I met her when I was 12 years old. My mom had just met my step dad (who is now my dad in every sense of the word). His family made me feel like I had always been part of them. My grandmother said "the only steps in this family are the ones that lead up to the house." My mom and dad divorced 4 years ago, and still, the Taylor family treats me as if I was always a part of it. I think that makes it even more special than if we were blood related. It reminds me of that saying "you can pick your friends but not your family... I was "picked by the Taylor family, and my life was blessed bcause of it.
