Lauren Moauro Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2024.
Lauren "Chickie" Moauro (née LoChirco), aged 72, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Palos Park, Illinois. Born on February 19, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, and a graduate of Visitation High School.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John, and their daughter, Lisa. Chickie is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Bill Sebastian; niece and her husband, Kim and Len McKinney; and nephew and his wife, Glenn and Michelle Horstmann. Her life was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Golden (Bartolotta) and Joseph LoChirco.

Chickie spent her life radiating warmth and love, much like the intricate crochet patterns she so lovingly created. This was a hobby that brought joy to both her and those lucky enough to receive her crafted creations. Her handiwork was not just a pastime but a way of connecting with others, weaving pieces of herself into every stitch.

Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire those she has left behind.

A memorial service will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 26, 2024, at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home, located at 7861 88th Ave, Justice, IL 60458. The family is accepting flowers to honor Lauren's memory.

Lauren, Chickie, was always smiling when I would see her across the street. We were neighbors for the last 10 years. When Chickie started having problems, we would text. Chickie had the best sense of humor, she was quick with a reply, and a pic. I´m going to miss her something awful...Chickie was a real trooper. Chick, put in a good word for us left behind, Love Suzy Q
