I lived a block away from Lauren, and while we were never friends I was always touched by the kindness and generosity that Lauren always showed. Being a writer myself, I also Black and Brown Markers and found it to be one of the best collections of poetry I've ever read.
Lauren was a beautiful, amazing person who I will miss for years to come. I wish the best for her family and hope that she now resides at the Lord's side in a better, happier place.

To remember all the good and forget all the bad is something we believe Lauren would want all of us to do. So we are remembering a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. We may not have been someone close but we have prayed for Lauren many times. We believe our prayers have been answered. Maybe not to our liking but for the well being of Lauren. God Bless You Dear Lauren, you are at home and at peace with the Lord. . . . .

Dear Richmond Family,
We offer our condolences for the death of Lauren. She certainly was a fine young woman and we are losing too many of our finest young people to brain tumors.
It was a very strange feeling when we returned home on Tuesday afternoon from Martinsville Florist and visiting our son’s grave to find an email from a friend and neighbor, Bob Lobosco, telling us of your daughter’s passing. My wife Virginia had just been telling me about the woman she had met at the florist who had recently lost her daughter. She said they had talked a few minutes about losing a child and how devastating it is.
If that was you and you ever need to talk to someone who has been through it please feel free to call us at 908-685-0917. I don’t know if Virginia mentioned that on Jan 8th it will be 15 years since our 25 year-old son, Matthew, died from an inoperable Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumor.
May God bless Lauren and all your family.
Love and Hugs,
Virginia and Stan Shrodo
