I had the privilege of spending time with Laurie and and her husband Eddie at Marist College. Laurie was a gentle soul and very kind. I remember just having fun and laughing. It all was so simple....

Laurie was the first school friend I had. We met in kindergarten. I have the most vivid memory of her at the kitchen play station happily playing mommy. Being her and Lee´s St.Martin´s elementary school buddy for eight years made every moment with her delightful . Their big house on the Amityville River was fun town,. Laurie was an instant good time, and giggled about everything. It seems she never stopped loving being a mommy, and bringing joy to all those who knew her. She stayed true to her spirit of joyful love.
May her family find peace in knowing a Saint in heaven.

Have to add a memory... any time I walked in to Paige and Aaron´s when Laurie was visiting, she was enabling some sort of crazy, messy art project! Always! Usually slime because mom and dad didn´t like it and they´d be gone so Laurie would facilitate it!

I had the absolute honor and pleasure to spend time with Laurie on multiple occasions. What I remember of Laurie is kindness, love, a good listener and the patience of a saint. She loved her daughters for all their individuality, grandkids equally and welcomed friends and strangers (me!) with open arms.
You will be terribly missed, but more importantly, incredibly remembered! You are leaving quite the legacy! Be proud.

It was a joy to have known her. She is a tough act to follow. "No longer shall your sun go down, for the Lord will be your light forever." Isaiah 60:20. Farewell and see you on the other side. Judy and George
