Mrs. Moore was my hero and the happy, trustworthy adult at OLPH. Since day one in first grade all the way to eighth she was my idol. I will never ever forget Mrs. Moore.
Dear Moore family, know I am still sorry for your loss and still miss her and think of her fondly to this day. She was the best, honest, most pure hearted woman.
I was having a little trouble growing up and she was ALWAYS there for me. She made time to talk to me if I needed “to talk” after school - it was our little thing.
She was my comfort and confidant at OLPH. She helped me talk things out and think things through without judging me. She understood me.
I will always consider her my example of a wonderful, happy adult. I can only hope I’m as excellent as her one day. I’m blessed to have known her. Thank you Mrs. Moore. I will never ever forget you.
PS: I can type 100 WPM now like you joked. ❤

Dear Mr. Moore,
The sad news of your wife's death is something that I can still hardly believe. It is difficult for me to put into words how I feel. However, I want you to know that you have my heartfelt sympathy at this trying time. Laurie, will be long remembered by me. She has a warmth personality and character that left a lasting impression upon me. I shall never forget her. Again, my deepest sympathy goes to you and your children.

I remember a Sunday a few years back when I was still teaching Sunday school at OLPH, (4-5 years after 8th grade). Mrs. Moore had arrived on campus to work on last minute things. We got to catch up briefly and she told me she was no longer the vice principal. At first I was worried she was retiring, instead she told me she was "upgraded" to principal status. I told her that I wanted to have kids and send them to OLPH so she could watch over them in school. She laughed and told me that she was proud of my family... She said Theresa (my sister) , Marie (my cousin) and I turned out to be amazing young women and she knew we would from the day she met us.

Dear Doug and family,
There are not enough words to express my heart-felt feelings of sympathy and loss of your beloved and my friend, Laurie. Please be assured that she was the pillar of all whose life she touched. My life has been blessed and touched to have known her. I shall miss her deeply. God Bless you.
