To AJ, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I am just finding out and I am heartbroken. I thank God that I did get to visit with my friend from years past a couple years ago. I came to you alls house and we caught up on old times. We were both union stewards at the VAOPC and Lawanna always kept me calm in that calm, soft voice of hers. She knew how to fight without raising her voice, what a gift that is!! We have shared many conversations about our lives and she was always encouraging to me. She was in my life for some major disappointments that I had and she was always there to encourage me, I'll always remember those days. You'll always find your mom in your memories, hold on to them. May the grace of God keep you as you continue this life's journey. RIP my friend Lawanna!!!! Semper Fi!!!

I am so thankful to have met Lawanna, who readily shared her battle in order to share about God and His victorious power. I am thankful for her reminders of compassion, generosity, gratitude, and love for others. I am praying for comfort and peace. She won the battle and may we all fight like Lawanna fought.
