Lawrence Paul Cutner

Dr. Lawrence Paul Cutner died peacefully at home on February 25, 2023, surrounded by family. Dr. Cutner was born on February 10, 1932, in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Dr. Cutner graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a pilot for 5 years. Dr. Cutner met his wife Donna Lee Campbell during this time. After they married, he was accepted to medical school at Indiana University, graduating in 1962. Dr. Cutner, Donna, and their five children lived throughout the United States during his residencies as a General Practitioner (he would later return to school for a residency in OB/GYN). They opened a Gynecological practice in 1998 in Long Beach, California, where he served the community until his retirement in 2002. During his retirement, Dr. Cutner volunteered for Hospice.

Dr. Cutner was an extremely generous person, and an asset to many individuals in the many communities in which he lived and served. He had a deep abiding love of working the land, and he was a master gardener with a particular love for growing garlic. Dr. Cutner is preceded in death by two children, Clayton Cutner and Nancy Cutner. He is survived by his wife Donna Cutner and their children (Rusty Cutner, Zack Cutner, Dianna Baltimore, Kristin Cutner, as well as 9 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren). Dr. Cutner donated his body to science.

A Memorial will be held to honor his life on May 27, 2023, at 5:00 pm at his home in Murrieta, CA. The family asks that any donations in his honor be directed to Doctors Without Borders.
