Father Larry was part of our family as we were lucky enough to "adopt" him as our uncle. He and our uncle Father Don O'Brien would come for Thanksgiving and share in our loud, large family celebrations. They would bless the football before each family football game and then laugh at the antics which ensued. He was a sweet and gentle man, a great priest, and a gift...we will miss him dearly.

Fr. Larry Fenton was my friend and neighbor who I miss! Fr. Fenton lived 4 doors down from my house and we shared the same cluster of mailboxes. Oh, how so many conversations we would have in my driveway or sidewalk on various topics. When my air conditioner was broken over one weekend in the hot July weather, he loaned me a fan and when I was downsized from my job some years ago . . . he kept up to date on my employment search and prayed for me, etc. He really touched my life and I know so many thousands of others!!!!
Bless you Father!!! You will not be forgotten!

Father Larry was a HUGE part of my life for as long as I can remember. He sent me cards on my birthdays and Christmas and sometimes just because. He was in many ways my father he never knew he would actually be. I did love you Larry and you will be sadly missed but never forgotten...

Father Fenton was a very giving priest. When our son was born and was to be baptized it was 30 below zero outside so Father came to our home and did the baptism so we would not need to take the new born out in the cold. What a wonderful christian.

My heart is broken to hear of Fr. Fenton's tragic death. I am grateful to him for bringing HOPE and the Gospel message of LOVE and COMPASSION. He was truly God Incarnate ministering tirelessly as a priest who truly cared about calling people to live their best lives. I loved Fr. Fenton and pray that he may rest in peace in the arms of God.

We had the honor of getting to know Fr. Larry Fenton during his visits to Cozad to see his friend Fr. Don O'Brien at Christ The King Church. He was a wonderful speaker and a great man, and will be missed by us who knew him in Cozad.

My name is Shirley Bruning. I have been cleaning Father Larry's home since 2005. I and my family are very sorry at hearing the news of his passing. My husband Bernie and I had many great talks with him and we enjoyed visiting right before we would clean. He will be missed very much by us and we are lifting the entire family up to God in prayer and offer our sincerest sympathy and condolences for their loss of this wonderful man. May God comfort you at this hard time.
He always had his coffee pot on and said "Be sure and get yourself a cup of coffee." Perhaps he will be sharing coffee with the angels now!
Sincerely,
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bruning
and family
