I am so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I got to know him years ago when he was a customer with Habitat for Humanity and further when he was with the band, Chip and the Old Blocks. Very nice guy and I remember when he told me of his cancer. We cried together. I worried about retiring from Habitat but he told me I should enjoy life instead of working life away! So I retired in May last year. Life is too short. He will be greatly missed. Peace and prayers for family and friends.

Larry was so dedicated to the message and work The First Tee did in the community and was one of our most outspoken volunteers and board members. He will be missed greatly.

Larry was a wonderful person. I met him when he came to play Bridge at our club. Our friendship began when I read one of his letters to the editor of the Brunswick Beacon. I called him to let him know that we were in complete agreement on the issues. From there I discovered
we both had a love of music and the Yankees. My wife and I spent many evenings enjoying Larry's vocals with Chip and the Old Blocks. He was multi-talented.
I will miss him very much.
RIP my friend

Larry was one of the busiest Men in Live Music in Brunswick County N.C. I had the pleasure of meeting Him about 5 yrs ago and was hired to run Sound for His Band Chip and the Old Blocks. He had a passion for Golf and Music. He was a Good Friend and will be forever remembered as a Crooner. R.I.P. Larry Hershoff.

I only knew Larry for a short while when I was employed by First Tee Coastal Carolinas. We met after he completed his time as Treasurer and I was just starting as the part time Book Keeper/Receptionist. His dedication to the organization was impressive, as he came in almost weekly with donations he had gathered. When I finally proved my abilities to Larry, his trust in me and regular communication meant so much to me. I'll miss reading his letters to the editor in the Brunswick Beacon too.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.
